Proposal Guide

A refined guide to ensure your proposal is captured naturally, beautifully, and without stress.

The Prep

Communication

  • Turn OFF notifications for our text conversation. It avoids accidentally revealing the surprise

  • Share your availability for me to contact you. Typically while your at work on your own.

Location Sharing

  • Share your live location on the day of the proposal.

  • This allows me to adjust in real time and know your ETA.

Appearance

  • No sunglasses during the proposal. Your facial expressions and eye contact are key to the photos.

  • Dress in a way that fits the location and feels natural.

  • Be sure to send a photo of your fits or a description of what your wearing. Picture is preferred.

Posing

Timing & Positioning

  • When you get down on one knee, stay kneeling for at least 15 seconds or longer.

  • This gives me time to capture:

    • Multiple angles

    • Both of your reactions

    • The full emotion of the moment

  • Make sure you be in the exact location that we marked, if we need I can place a marker of where to stand.

Discretion

  • You do not need look at me or to signal you see me but if you are out of site you may slightly nod or make eye contact with me as long as you know it won’t be noticed.

  • I will remain hidden or blend into the environment.

  • Trust the process completely.

Backup Plan

  • If anything changes (weather, timing, crowds):

    • Stay calm

    • Communicate briefly if needed

  • I will adapt quickly to still capture everything beautifully.

You’re now prepped and ready to go! Let’s do this!
